This is on page 193, Purdah and the Status of Woman in Islam by Sayyid Abul A'la Maududi

The Purdah and the Status of Woman in Islam translated in English and written by Sayyid Abul A'la Maududi. He is of the view on page 193 that woman cannot have sex with her slave man where as man can have sex with his slave girl. He mentioned "girl" but it is not "girl" in fact "girls" because there is no limit on slave girls where there is limit for wives which cannot exceed four. I don't disagree with him because this is as per Qur'an verse 4:24 but we are living in different age so old value and norms cannot work today.

I am producing both reference bellow in pictures for every one to read him or herself. Keeping this text in context then what is an extra marital sex?  Is it not an extra marital sex? On contrary boyfriend and girlfriend is proper relationship and legal with the consent of both partners. In marriage, both partners share every thing but in Muslim countries even in marriage, women don't have any legal right. In case of divorce or separation husband take every thing including children and women thrown out of the house. Is this a fair system? Instead to improve system to make it more just and treat woman equal, ignorance still prevail where women be she a mother, wife, sister or daughter - nothing more than man's property.
