It is alleged in 2003 cable that UAE crown prince asked US to bomb Al Jazeera!

We always been observing UAE's policies of development by promoting liberal values in its society which are fundamental for every society to develop, sustain and survive in modern Industrial and post Industrial culture where people from all across the world to come into contact with each other in pursuit of work, tourism, trade and socialization.
We, too been critic of Al-Jazeera TV whose most of the staff had been trained by BBC. I myself one of its viewer observed it’s screening of events particularly when it come to jihadi political segment among Muslim faith communities.  In my view it had been out of promotion highlighted the subject segment yet ignoring their ideological impact over social-fabric which is an exclusive utopia, pro-moting sectarian hatred and detrimental to the very unity of every social fabric.
The mother and father of modern cancer of jihadi-politics-cum-terrorism is the ideology spearheaded by the founders of Jamat-e-Islami and Ikhwan-ul-Muslimoon. What ISIS fascists seen on screen force raping young Yazidi, Kurdish and Shia girls is the interpretation of Islam by all fundamentalists’ doctors including Muhammad Ibn Abdul Whab and Syed Mawdoodi. To high light ISIS barbarity by detaching from its history and how this mind-set had developed over the time in this day and age is very dis-service to its viewers.
We do recognize their democratic rights but democracy and fascism don't go together. We do re-cognize that Ikhwan do have right to rule the Egypt or any other country but they have no right to promulgate laws which discriminate citizens just because of their faith, colour, gender  or to promote sectarian politics within state institutions. Ikhwan after taking over power in Egypt, the first thing they tried to infringe individual rights of the citizen by using religion as a popular force of majority segment. In democracy, no society can infringe the basic rights of a person. All member states are abide by UN Charter where it is agreed to abolish all such laws, may be inherited through its local culture, norms or faith yet discriminatory, exclusive and do not meeting basic standard set in UN Charter and UDHR. The jihadi concept of democracy is that with majority vote they can do whatever they like. This is very misconception. Seven billion people of the planet cannot take my right to life except it is for justice and proper rule of law.
This is surprising for us that UAE leadership took such approach toward Al-Jazeera.  More over Saudi Arabia and its ally must recognize that Qatar is a sovereign state where as Al-Jazeera is a media outlet and both cannot be mix together. The quality of news and views by Al-Jazeera is open to competition and let the market decide its winner and loser rather through political pressures. What Al-Jazeera is ignoring or painting one side of the picture out of its promotion, other TV channels can jump in to fill the space but we must recognize that we are living in 21 century.
The problem is not with Qatar and Al-Jazeera but the entire Muslim understanding of Islam. The Qur’anic text which was composed 1400 years ago, was addressing mostly its’ own environment and time. To approach its’ text literally, today, would be misleading and cannot help people of Islamic faith in their life of socio-political and socio-cultural realaities of today. That is why the great Islamic scholar Dr. Muhammad Iqbal had recognized the need to reform and had suggested 100 years ago even choosing the title of his write-up: “The Reconstruction of Religious Thought In Islam.”  The old religious thoughts are not working today, therefore we need to bring change at grass-root level and nurturement of our children.
