The “bloodshed” being carried out against people of Kashmir by
occupied forces as a policy based on “political vendetta”, the
Hurriyat leadership, comprising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz
Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik said that the people
of Kashmir were facing the worst form of state sponsored
oppression.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the leaders spearheading freedom
movement, said: “State was hard trying to push people to wall by
subjecting them to repression and carrying out bloodshed. The State
has resorted to military build-up in Kashmir to impose the silence
of graveyard in Kashmir.”
Terming the statement of VHP leader, Praveen Togadia that “Kashmir
should be carpet bombed as communal fascism’, the leadership stated
that such poisonous statements by right wing Hindutva forces have
been a tradition.
They stated that Kashmiris were not fearful of such hollow statements
whichcarry no weight but poison only.
Meanwhile, a Hurriyat statement said following the program of Joint
Hurriyat leadership, a protest demonstration was held at historic Jamia
Masjid Srinagar to protest the killing of civilian Ghulam Hassan Bhat
of Panzgam Kupwara and “the unabated state sponsored oppression
in Kashmir”.
Statement said the members who participated in the protest included
GN Zaki, Noor Mohammad Kalwal, Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Mehrajudin
Kalwal, Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi, Imtiyaz Haider, Farooq Ahmad Saudagar,
Umer Adil Dar, Mustafa Sultan, Mudasir Nabi, Peer Ghulam Nabi
and others.
