Break the Sino-Pak connection : Manoj Joshi: India Today

Break the Sino-Pak connection : Manoj Joshi: India Today

Is it correct that we the people of Kashmir are always in the habit of reading to much in the events which could be merely a tactical move of a power, yet our entire expectations move quickly to stand in isolation without having our own analytical guidelines? Beijing’s new policy of staple visa for Kashmiri and India’s media-driven Campaign against China in PoK (GB+AK), is a case in point

The Chinese decision to staple visas for Kashmiries and refusal to include Indian Army's Northern Command, Lt Gen B. S. Jaswal, on the plea that his command is responsible for human rights violation in Kashmir was seen a great shift of China’s foreign policy over to the issue of Kashmir which now appearing to be a tactical move. Same is true for India’s media-driven campaign against China’s involvement in PoK (GB+AK). I wonder, involvement in what sense? If there is an investment on behalf of China, certainly it is a welcome move. It is not by any mean to recognise the division of Kashmir state.

Manoj Joshi, writing in India Today, quote/unquote: Beijing’s calculated go-slow on the dialogue between the Special Representatives was to signal its unhappiness with the growing proximity of India to the US”. The Beijing’s calculated move, quote/unquote: “countered by India through a media-driven campaign to paint China as an aggressor on the Sino-Indian border.”
