In every prayer, in fact every rikat, the worshipper repeat surra fata which is an essential ingredient of five time Muslim prayers. If we try to analyse sura fata, it divide itself into two parts. The first part which is praising the lord Allah...."all praise for Allah, who is Rabbil alameen, who is master of the day of judgement".. in my opinion first part end here. The second part start...."would worship u and seek help from u, put me on straight path, the path of those who had been blessed and do not put me on the path of those who been punished".
This is a statement every Muslim worshipper is making at least five times a day. On one hand he and mostly "he" because there is little place for she, praising the lord and making a commitment and asking him to put him on a straight path. Which mean the ultimate aim and purpose of every Muslim prayer is: straight path. In other words, a good human being who should not violate law, should not give or take bribes, should not abuse others or use abusive language, should not lie, steal, backbite, should not use his or her contacts in public office to get an undue and illegal favour, do not disturb others, do not disrespectful to the people of other faiths or non, do not make false claims, do not exploit the weaker section of the society, run his or her business fairly, pay full wages to the workers, taxes as per the rule, treat every one equally, respect the dignity of the people, do not reflect of arrogance be that in terms of official position, social status, or be counted in the society the man of virtue etc.
Now tell me all you "bilkul" "beshak" "ameen" etc. Is the Muslim rituals as per the facts of present days; producing any good human beings according to Surra Fata? If not then there must be problems in the prayer itself, not in the human being. The facts on grounds are: we in the west have transparent society where only between 5-10% people goes to church. You have corrupt society where at least 80% goes to mosques. The reason may be because making just copy-cat of historical traditions be that of the origin in religious or cultural sense, in the name of faith don't change behaviour and inbuilt habits of human being. The behaviours and inbuilt habits of human beings are the natural consequences of environments where he or she born and brought-up. One can not change the environment without having its proper scientific study and understanding. Without changing environment, one can not change human behaviour.
