Ex-soldier Killed, and 2 Injured in Jammu and Kashmir. This is the first non-combatant was targeted by the militant. Political parties condemn it as well as people came out on the streets to protest against the killing.

The authority believed that the attack was carried out by armed opposition which took place late Monday evening when gunmen fired upon Manzoor Ahmad (39), a former soldier, in the Behibagh. Authority started a massive operation in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district in reaction of the killing of a non-combatant former soldier.

It is reported that two presumed armed opposition men with political intention what Indian media called terrorists were armed with pistols arrived at the residence of Manzoor Ahmad Wagay in Beehi Bagh, approximately 10 kilometers from the district headquarters, and opened fire on his family members, which included his wife and niece.

Reports suggest that this was the first non-combatant casualty of the year, and alleged that members of the armed opposition group involved to shot dead an ex-serviceman and injured his wife and 13-year-old niece in an attack in South Kashmir's Kulgam district on Monday, just for a news story of their survival yet no group from armed opposition claim responsibilites.

The authority, believed that the attackers were from banned Lashkar-e-Taiba, who fired upon Wagay  as he returned home, and all three victims were rushed to a nearby hospital, where Wagay succumbed to injuries. There is no evidence to suggest yet that the unarmed Kashmiri was targetted by banned outfit or the armed opposition.

The security forces of Jammu and Kashmir along with Indian army and Indian para military forces in the area, have intensified efforts to track down the attackers, conducting door-to-door searches and questioning scores of locals in the village and adjoining areas means to bring more hardship over to the innocent population.
The subject attack took place late Monday evening when gunmen fired upon Manzoor Ahmad (39), a former soldier, his wife and niece in the Behibagh area. Though they sustained critical injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds. His wife and niece were also survive their injures.

Srinagar daily newspaper Greater Kashmir reported by quoting a senior police officer that  “authority formed Multiple teams to investigate the incident and identify those responsible. We are questioning several individuals and analyzing CCTV footage and other technical evidence.”

Social media and news paper reports suggest that hundreds of people from the village and adjoining hamlets have been detained for questioning, and police suspect that the attackers may have received logistical support from local contacts.

“We are working on multiple leads and are confident that the perpetrators will be brought to justice soon,” Greater Kashmir reports.

The fact that violence breed violence but both Pakistan and India failed for last 77 years to allow the people of Jammu and Kashmir, a democratic way out to solved the question once for all but a narrow nationalist approach both from Delhi and Islamabad suffering themseves and making the people of the state to suffer for last 77 years.

President Trump is going back to colonialism and time never reverse. Today we are living in an international culture where all local cultrues are converging and contributed for a future shape of it yet insisting on a backward journey don't show us the light at the end of the tunnel.

The friendship between India and Pakistan is the need of the people of the both country. It is more needed by Pakistan then India because the confrontation between India and Pakistan effects lives of the Muslims of India. Allow the people of the divided state of Jammu and Kashmir, from Aksi Chin to Mangla, from Lakhanpure to Hunza to elect their representatives would be able to agree upon the future constituion of the state and with India, Pakistan and China. Th share sovernity with India, Pakistan and China would provide the basis for the long lasting peace and friendship in the region.

In Baramulla people came out on streets holding playcards no to politial violence and no to killing. Though it was not huge becase people fear of violence.

In the Valley of Kashmir saw a huge crowd of people taking to the roads in the chilly evening of Tuesday from various walks of life to demand justice and express their grief over the tragic loss. The areas where candle marches were held are Pulwama, Ganderbal, Kulgam, Anantnag, and Shopian. The protesters carried candles and placards that read “Kashmir Against Violence”, and “Say No To Terror”.

All political parties were united in condemning the killing of Manzoor Ahmed and inuring his wife and niece a non-combatant. The leaders said this is to harm the cause of the people of the state of Jammu and Kashmir rather any help. They stressed the people that only a non-violent, demoratic and constitunalism path is only the way forward for our people not the violence.
