Taliban immediate confrontation with Pakistan is natural. They both share a disputed border known as Durand Line, which in my view, no Afghan authority would be able to allow Pakistan to build the fence at the border unilaterally. The further important point of the conflict is that TTP is a part of the Afghan Taliban already fighting against the Pakistan government on the same agenda they had been fighting against the Americans and Afghan forces. The religious war profiteers in Pakistan's establishment, are very powerful and they secretly sympathize with the Taliban agenda on the sectarian ground.  Therefore the first conflict between Taliban and Pakistani forces would be natural and unavoidable.
