Kulgam, Kashmir: Armed opposition continue their fight to resist Indian forces in Jammu and Kashmir. One member of the armed opposition has been lost his life in an ongoing combat activities at Chimmer village of Damhal Hanjipora in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday afternoon, 30 June 2021 taking the death toll total 3 till now.
As per Indian official source quoted by local media said that Indian army man has also received injuries during the gun battle.
This is very important from human rights and political stand point that both armed opposition and political opposition must come out with a clear cut policy known to public that no attack or harm to public, non-combatants, who ever they and no politics or actions which divide society on the basis of their ethnicity, religion, sect, gender etc.
The government is using violence as tool to suppress the democratic and political rights including right to self-determination going back to 1953. Therefore they do have monopoly over violence, weapons and flow of information. Their people could be working within the ranks and files of armed opposition or they can send out their own gun men as members of armed opposition to kill or harm members of the public/non combatants while raising slogans of for Kashmir, Islam and anti India just to fool public to discredit the resistance movements against colonial occupation.
