“At about 8:50 pm this evening, terrorist fired some pistol shots towards police party near Lazibal Anantnag. One cop received minor injury,” said a police spokesman on Twitter.
In another development the Indian forces conducting an operation against armed opposition in Daddal village area of Rajouri's Sunderbani which today entered in to third day yet no fresh combat with armed opposition whom Indian force suspected to be hiding in area close to the Line of Control (LoC) between Indian occupied forces and Pakistan occupied forces.
The India armed operation was started on Tuesday afternoon after reports were received regarding the presence of Jammu Kashmir armed opposition in Daddal village along the LoC after which indian Army and Police had started Cordon and Search Operation.
In the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, exchange of fire took place at cordon site in which an Army personnel received injuries. Also read in Greater Kashmir, Kashmir Monitor and other local news papers.
Indian sources saying that after the exchange of gunbattle in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, no fresh exchange has taken place with no fresh contact even with the armed opposition.
They said that the entire area of Daddal was under tight cordon with both Police and Army.
"Both the Army and Police are carrying forward the operation but there is no fresh contact with the armed opposition so far," a senior Police officer said.
