The ignorance promote hate, hate create fear and fear turn into violence. The violence be it political or non political, destroy peace, happiness, prosperity, and, instead, promote crimes and poverty. Jammu Kashmir historically was tourists destination. Even before 1947 places such as Srinagar, Gulmarg and Rawalakot were full of European tourists.
Tourism is not only bring tourists which help in creating local jobs, but also it become an important source for local production to reach to the world market through tourists as word of mouth an effective marketing tool of modern day.
The most negative impact over Jammu Kashmir economy had been and still is, the political violence, both by the state forces and the armed opposition. This would be very naive to think that in this day and age, political issues would be settled by using violence as a vehicle to advance it. There is difference between resistance, dissent and violence. The ideology of violence to suppress the dissent and political demands on state side of authority or among the rank and files of the armed opposition proved detrimental and wrong.
There is no substitute to the democratic struggle which is on one hand show the discontent yet on other hand can survive without harming its population and economy but violence always provoke such situation which could bring worse human rights violations, human suffering and destroying their own economy. In my opinion, political violence both in Jammu Kashmir and Palestine proved to be detrimental to its population and its movement and very much played in the hands of respective authorities.
Returning of tourism, in my view would help Jammu Kashmir economy to regain its fair share of tourists where the society from violence, total lockup and coronavirus is already on death bed. We must understand that loosing market in this day and age is very difficult to regain it because of taugh competition.
