UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres is "paying attention" over Kashmir situation and tension at LOC.


Situation in Kashmir and tension between India and Pakistan at 
line of control, is, attracting world attention. The United Nation 
observers known as UNMOGIP are station on both sides of the 
divide, of Jammu Kashmir from 1948, monitoring situation and 
receiving complains from victims, members of public, Political 
Parties and Human Rights Organizations of serious violation 
committed by the forces, which keep UN up-to-date of the ground 
situation. The UN Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric told reporters 
that Secretary General Antonio Guterres is "paying attention" at 
the daily briefing when he was draw attention toward recent 
tension between India and Pakistan.
"We checked with our colleagues at UNMOGIP. We have not 
received any alleged ceasefire violations reports from the Indian 
authorities related to the latest incident that we saw yesterday," 
he said.
Dujarric said the UN continues to reiterate the need for the "
parties to find a peaceful solution through engagement and 
dialogue".
He also rejected claims that UNMOGIP is partial as it only 
speaks about developments on the Pakistani side as India 
does not allow it to operate on its side.
