London:
Hundreds of Kashmiri from various cities of Britain gathered today
(29/6/12) out side the Pakistan High Commission London to protest
against the on-going-human-rights violations in Gilgit Balistan and
Azad Kashmir. The protest was organized by United Kashmir People
National Party, UK.
The protesters were
holding banners and flags, mostly from UKPNP, started gathering in
front of 35 lowndes square at 3 pm and started shouting various
slogans both in English and Urdu are as follow:
“stop human rights
violations in Azad Kashmir,” “stop victimizing peaceful
protesters,” “stop human rights violations in Gilgit Baltistan”
“victims of Chilas' massacre are still waiting justice” “what
we want: united and independent Kashmir,” “foreign forces out
out,” “Pakistani forces out out,” Indian forces out out,”
“Pakistani-Indian colonialism down down,” “down down Pakistani
forces down,” “down down Indian forces down,” “Kashmir hamara
hai sara ka sara hai,” “Lakhen pure say Hunza tak, Aksi chin say
mangla tak,” “stop genocide in Gilgit Baltistan,” “stop
genocide in Valley of Kashmir,” “Indian hokumrano ka jo yar hai
ghadar hai ghadar hai,” “Pakistan kay hokumrano ka jo yar hai
ghadar hai ghadar hai,” “Chilas kay katlay aam ka jowab dho hisab
dho hisab dho,” “katloo ki griftari tak: atjaj rai ga atjaj rai
gai,” “Pakistan Army: stop supporting terrorists,” “we
condemn terrorism against innocent people of Pakistan,” “we
condemn discrimination against women and minorities in Pakistan,”
“stop promoting religious hatred,” “down down, war mongers
down down,” etc.
The participants amongst
others while representing their branches from various cities were:
Usman Kayani, Saqib Rafique, Jamil Latif, Akhter Kashmiri, Shaukat
Hussain, Amjad Yousaf, Sardar Tqriq Khan, Anwar Jamal, Qammer Zia,
Naveed Khan and Shafique Khan. Tanveer Azam, President Poonch from
back home was also present. Afzal Tahir on behalf of Kashmir
International Front (KIF) was also present.
Protest ended at 4:30 pm
after handing-over a petition to the High Commission of Pakistan
while a detail petition directly sent to the Prime Minister of
Pakistan.
