Muhammad Usman, I respect your emotions and feelings, but the facts of different. There is pole apart between present day terrorism/ terrorist leaders and people like Jinnah and Iqbal. Jinnah was a great democrat, a great parliamentarian and law maker while Iqbal was a great philosopher, poet, parliamentarian, suffee and educationist.
The present army was part of British Indian Army. People join army for their bread and butter and some time they have to fight. They were doing before 1947. For example Gen Zia joined British Indian Army before 1947, not to serve his people, but to make his bread and butter. So they are doing the same job up to now. The only difference is the change of slogans. Army had not liberated India or Pakistan but political parties that is why they (Military/Civil Bureaucracy) hate politics and political parties, human rights and civil rights movements.
The present day terrorism goes back to the early Islam, and known as Khoarjati in Islamic History and considered to be out of Islamic fold. It is they who introduced "amir-bil-maroof and nai an-al-munkir" contradicting main stream interpretation of Islam.  Their modern day prophet is Muhammad Abdul Whab of Najid. This is a fake and distorted Islam, started in Doriyha, near Riyadh and then hired by then world power the British during 1913 and continues till to-date in different style and shapes.
Presently, it is a multi billion dollars business because of petro-dollars money. The original cost of a barrel of oil is $7 which is sold in the market to us $100.00 to $150.00.
I have no doubt that the mujhadeen in what ever shape and style are working on a regular month wages. Their supporters, such as Zaid Hamid, Hamid Gul and many more; are middle man whose hands may be exchanging billions just because of the covert activities of terror business. AQ Khan, whose wife  herself is an ex American Arm forces employee, speaks volumes of his anti American rhetoric.
In my assessment and observation, even ISI is no more in full control of Pakistani GHQ.  It run and control from Middle East though I don't have evidence to prove my point. I would suggest that people like you just make your own investigation by focusing on those characters who had history of their income less then SR. 2000.00 pm, just twenty years ago, but today they are billionaires. Is there any transparency of  such wealth accumulation?  If you are a good researcher, you would never miss the evidence that they had been one time or another, had been linked with jhadee activities, and also had been in close association of ISI/Saudi Intelligence.
There fore the characters such as Zaid Hamid, Hamid Gul and Hafiz Saeed are not natters. They are very clever and fit the proverb of "Hindu bunyas."  They are cunning money grabbers by exploiting the religious, racial and national sentiments of the poor people. The continuity of jhadee activities are an essential market of their survival, no matter how many innocents are becoming victims. There fore it is their basic business interest to promote Jhadee culture that has strings attached from their masters.
