Two days conference on Gilgit Baltistan in Brussels

We have decided to participate in the subject conference in response to the joint invitation of  BNF and UNPO.  The people on ground has been divided for last 63 years. They are not allowed to have an interaction, which is fundamental for any solution whether for the state of J&K or Gigilt Baltistan.  We are hopeful that this conference would succeed to explore the new avenues in the broader context of the peace in the region.

Two Day Gilgit Baltistan Conference in Brussels
I have the privilege to elucidate some facts about the ALARMING  environmental situation persist on the World Highest Mountains (Hindukush, Karakorum and Himalaya) owing to the illegal activities of regional powers, threatening to deprive the indigenous people of this land.
The mining exploration undertaken  by  Pakistani and Chinese forces  in Gilgit Baltistan may have disastrous impacts on the environment and force vast majority to displace or suffer economically. The  melting glaciers, unusual rains that devastated  flood last year in 2010 further corroborate our concerns and apprehensions,   that use of un-known chemicals by the forces of Pakistan and China may have acted as catalyst of environmental chages.
The aim of holding two days’ discourse in Brussels, and inviting distinguished experts, academicians, leaders, parliamentarians and others is to sensitize the mind of Western world and people to grasp the seriousness of the threat pose to our people, region and habitat. Other reason is of holding Conference here is the historic initiative of European Parliament had taken by adopting resolution on Gilgit Baltistan in the context of Jammu & Kashmir on  24th May 2007 under the bold leadership of  honourable MEP   Baroness Emma Nicholson.
I cordially invite you to this Conference  and your participation and contribution will provide the voice to the voiceless people of Gilgit Baltistan, and disputed region of Jammu Kashmir.
