A picture of PPP leader Fauzia Wahab's on arrival in Argentina Embassy was uploaded on fb with a question in urdu: "kiya muslaman aurit ka istiqabal iss tara say hona chaiyia". Firstly the problem with me was to divide women between "Muslim and Non" and secondly when I looked at those who uploaded and contributed were mostly from my side of Kashmir.
My first ever job was in American Express, where most of my colleagues were female. I was of stereotype views, so much so that the working women are vulgar and not to the standard to marry them. The reason was that I had come from a different situation, a mountainous tribo-agrarian culture, facing difficulties to adjust and accommodate with different conditions, that was of a cosmopolitan society.
It took me ages to understand that my prejudice was unfounded. In fact, they were not vulgar. The problem was with my own setting of a situation, which I born and brought-up, was facing difficulties to understand new objective realities. There fore I had contributed in detail in order to press the point that we must take things in a proportional terms by giving examples from early Islam and you can read it on blog . The local, national and regional cultures are contributing in shaping the ongoing global culture which would be having ownership to all.
