Syria resolution vetoed by Russia and China at United Nations | World news | guardian.co.uk:

I was listening to Russian press briefing after SC voting. In my opinion, their position was very rational and more in line with rule of law rather to take position just for political advantages. There is no doubt that International Community is with Syrian people, but for better democracy, better human rights and rule of law. Arab League is dominated by GCC especially Saudi Arabia where whabby establishment dominate the policies. It is an open secret that they are promoting sectarian drive through violence with the help of massive oil money which means human rights situation would not improved.
There fore Syrian opposition have to prove its commitment with democracy, rule of law and concept of human rights. We are well aware that sectarian groups always out to exploit sectarian sentiments of majority community against minority which is not democracy but fascism. The Muslim fascist cleverly trying to manipulate the democratic norms so to suppress diverse opinion and voices in the name of shar'ia, blasphemy law or honour killing. There fore, supporting blindly without knowing the contents and substance of alternatives or their links with armed groups would be dangerous and in fact playing in the hands of al-Qaeda/salfi sponsored terrorists.
